The process to apply random multi-colour dyestuffs to yarns, arranges the yarns in a tubular pattern to be advanced continuously through an assembly of sprays, which apply to different dyes to the yarns. The dye sprays are radially aligned to cover the whole surface area of the tubular yarn structure to give the random dyeing effect. A carrier frame is formed by four screws converging towards each other. The screw are rotated. The yarn is guided to give a yarn coil in a reciprocating movement along the axis of the array. The yarn, therefore is cross wound for the surrounding jets to apply the different dyestuffs. The system offers a cheap and simple yarn dyeing process which can be operated by unskilled operatives. |
