A locational data storage system is used in a travel path indicating apparatus wherein the position of a vehicle in two-dimension coordinates is obtained from the outputs from a distance travelled detecting unit and a bearing detecting unit, a continuous travel path being indicated on a screen, while locational data is stored sequentially, the storage system comprising means to calculate the location of the vehicle by adding distances taken at a given smaller unit distance, and to store the location data at the moment that the running distance comes in excess of a larger distance. By the use of this storage system the memory capacity required by the apparatus is minimised and yet there is provided a relatively high precision in approximating locational information. <IMAGE> |
