<p>1. Internal combustion engine having an exhaust gas turbine (20, 22) and a relief valve (40), sensors (52, 60) for sensing the pressure upstream and downstream of a throttle valve (30), a control means for the opening degree of the relief valve (40) in accordance with the difference of the pressures upstream the throttle valve (30), and downstream respectively, whereby stored desired values are predetermined the exceeding of which is causing the opening of the relief valve (40), characterized by a logic unit (Fig. 2, 3) receiving information of the engine speed and the throttle valve position by sensors (84, 90), said desired values being stored in the memories (84, 90) as maps depending also from the speed and the throttle valve position, and a control circuit (108) controlling an actuating motor (46) for determining the opening degree of the relief valve (40) in dependence from the logic output signals.</p> |
