PURPOSE:To increase the processing ability of a packet exchanger, by performing the timer registration in preceding by a timeout time relatively to the present time and limiting the objective of timeout discrimination. CONSTITUTION:A time monitor system consists of a timer monitor register present position 220 which consists of cyclic counters counting up periodically and performing 0 clear at the maximum value with a periodic start trigger 200, and a timer monitor cyclic register 210 limited with the position 220. In the registration of timeout monitoring objects A-Z, the monitor objective B corresponding to the register position advanced by the timeout time set value relatively from the present position of the timer monitor cyclic register 210 and further the corresponding monitor objective D is set. The monitoring of timeout is made by taking the registrated timer monitor register preset position 220 as objective. |
