PURPOSE:To irradiate ultrasonic waves efficiently without the loss of electric power by installing an intermediate layer with appropriate thickness and acroustic impedance to the back of a piezo-electric plate. CONSTITUTION:A transducer is composed of a piezo-electric plate 9, an intermediate layer 11, a back supporting member 12, and an electrode 12. Electric power inputted from the electric terminal 13 of the transducer is distributed to the front and back directon of the piezo-electric plate 9, namely, the direction of a propagation media 14 and the back supporting member 12. Since the wave is directly reflected by an electrode on the piezo-electric plate in the side of the back supporting member 12, i.e., the intermediate layer 11 having a thickness of 1/4 wave length, and the thickness of the intermediate layer is 1/4 wave length, the phase of acoustic power applied from the peizo-electric plate 9 to the propagation media 14 directly consists with that of the acoustic power sent from the piezo-electric plate 9 to the intermediate layer 11 and applied to the propagation media 14 after being reflected by a reflecting layer 11, enabling to send ultrasonic wave power efficiently. |
