PURPOSE:To carry out readable printing by controlling a time applying dot pattern to a printing element corresponding to a dot number developed from a character generating circuit to make a density of a printed character uniform. CONSTITUTION:For example, when a character ''H'' is intended to be printed, a first printing position signal Tp is issued to apply a dot pattern signal to an AND circut 7 and, at the same time, an FF16 is set by said signal Tp and an ON-time signal N is applied to the AND circuit 7. As the result, voltage is applied to each printing element of the printing head. An applying time is a time until the signal N is stopped, that is, the FF is reset but, when line l1-l7 are in an ''1'' condition and an AND circuit 9 is ''1'', the FF16 is reset when a calculated value of a decoder 14 is reached to beta and, becuase the AND circuit 9 is ''0'' in a second-a fourth position signal, the FF16 is reset when the calculated value of the decoder 4 is reached to a value alpha smaller than beta. |
