Wooden panel for house construction - comprises upper and lower rails interconnected by uprights and laminated sheet

The house is built up of prefabricated panels comprising uprights (3) in wood, the ends of which are mortise and tenon joined into wooden upper (1) and lower rails (2). Sheets of laminated wood (4) are inserted between the uprights leaving cavities which are filled with insulation material (5) e.g. flame retardant expanded polystyrene. A sheet of plaster-board (7) pref. carrying an impermeable layer (6) is attached to the uprights (3) and forms the interior surface of the panel. The uprights (3) are pref. T-shaped in section and are sealed to the laminated wood sheets (4) by flexible joints.
