A displacing drive for an ink zone screw (1) for adjusting a ductor blade of an inking device in a printing machine comprises drive means (2) operatively connected through transmission elements and a coupling with the ink zone screw (1). The coupling consists of a toothed wheel (4) loosely mounted on a spindle (3) of the screw (1) and in constant engagement with the drive means (2). A detent element (9) fastened to a push rod (8) resiliently mounted and axially displaceable in the spindle (3) connects the wheel (4) to the spindle (3) movement of the push rod (8) disengaging the detent element (9) and the wheel (4) to permit manual rotation of the spindle (3) by a knob (12). The detent element (9) disengages from the wheel (4) on overload.
