The spraying gun has an air inlet in the handle and the air flows through valve and into a cylindrical chamber mounted above the gun barrel. A second cylinder inside the cylinder encloses a block of metal with a number of narrow passageways separated by thin walls. Electric heating elements are embedded in the metal block and heat the air as it flows through the passageways. The air emerges through a central nozzle in the spraying head. The paint is drawn in through holes and flows through passageways around the block so that it is also heated. The heated paint emerges through nozzles in the head and is atomised by the central jet of air.
