PURPOSE:To provide the titled dandruff-preventing agent containing bufexamac and/or bendazac as active components and capable of effectively suppressing the formation of dandruff for 1 day just after washing the hair. CONSTITUTION:The objective scalp ameliorating agent contains 2-(4- butoxyphenyl)acetohydroxamic acid of formula I (bufexamac) and/or 1-(p- chlorobenzoyl)-5-methoxy-2-methyl-indole-3-acetic acid (bendazac) at a total amount of 0.001-5wt.%. In contrast with conventional antibacterial agent, bactericide or vitamin E esters, the agent can remarkably suppress the generation of dandruff for 1 day just after washing the hair. The agent may be incorporated with other components such as base component, ultraviolet absorber, surfactant, antiseptic, drug, etc., and is used in the form of shampoo, rinse, hair tonic, etc. |
