Unloading bridge for ship - has articulated outrigger with outer part swivelling up to stop on inner part by tackle on waterside support

The bridge structure is intended for unloading cargo, e.g. containers, from a ship. It comprises an articulated (6,7) outrigger (4,5) capable of being extended over the vessel and a block and tackle assembly (9) or the like arranged on a waterside support (2) on the bridge. The outermost portion (5) on the outrigger swivels upwardly (on 7) relative to the innermost portion (4) and the outermost end of the tackle is pref. connected (10) to the portion (5) whilst the upward swivel angle of the latter may be limited by a stop (11) on the inner portion (4).
