The invention relates to a process for producing hard fibreboards by impregnating a non-dried, comminuted wood fibre material with a binder mixture which has a resin-solids content of 40 to 45% and a viscosity of < 15 mPa.s. The resin is a non-tacky urea-formaldehyde resin with a solids content of 60 to 70% and a viscosity which, at 25 DEG C, is in the range from 150 to 300 mPa.s, and the proportion of free formaldehyde is < 1%. After the impregnation, the material is dried and in particular hot pressed. |
