The screw attachment for fixing a heel (8) to a shoe, consists of a cap screw (6) which extends through a slit (4) in the inner sole (1) into the heel (8). The underneath side of the heel (8) is hollow, so as to take a screwed nut (11). The cap screw (6) has two diametrically opposite flat parts (7) near the head. The inner sole (1) has an oblong hole (5) which is congruent with the oblong hole (4) in the spring (2). The closed top side of the heel has a hole (10) for the shaft of the cap screw (6). The hole (10) tapers conically from top to bottom.
