The oxygen life saving equipment for use in mines can be placed on the user's clothes. It has a protecting cover around the face screen of the helmet. A pipe joins the screen to the distributor connected to the oxygen reservoir. The distributor has a valve (28) and rod (29) outside the main valve (4) on the reservoir (3). A spring (30) closes the valve (28). A bolt (38) keeps the valve open when required, in a hole (34). An additional supply valve (32) is provided and is worked by a lever (31) on the valve rod.
