Carrier jaw braced on arched mine gallery support - has reinforcing ribs on hook heads of screws with bent hook shafts

A traverse, with a cutout accommodating the bottom of the support profile, and hook-headed screw passing through each traverse end, with bearing surface for the profile's flange, are incorporated in a support jaw braced with an esp. arched gallery support, in a mine. The hook shafts (11) of the screws (3,4) are bent over in such a way that the end (14) at the hook head (12) runs parallel to the thread end (10) offset to the hook mouth. The hook head has a stiffening rib (29) formed into it. The bearing surface (18) formed in the hook mouth can have a convex curve, and extend from the screw shaft to a virtually flat surface (27) on the hook tip (28).
