Vertically swivelling cutter rollers, to extract minerals occurring in seams, are mounted at both ends of the body of a machine, working in a min,etravellmine, travelling close to a long face conveyor. On the backfillin side, the body of the machine (15) is suported, via spherical hinge joints (27,31), on two guiding carriages (21) led along the conveyor ram (3); and on the face side, via thrust piston units (4), on two cassis units with relative position determinable by scanner organs (51,52) oriented to the course of the conveyor (1).S The machine body may be fitted with a vertically adjustable cap element, with favourable rolling friction qualities.
