<p>The low pressure chamber housing for brake boosters is made in two shells (2,3) connected by a fold seam in which is held the edge of a roller membrane. The shells each have two walls. The walls of the brake cylinder side shell have depressions by which the walls are welded together. A support ring (8.1) is fixed round the inside of its outer wall (8). The inner and outer walls are also held together by the fixing bolts (18) for the brake cylinder, while the rear shell walls are held together by the fixing bolts (19) which fit the housing to the vehicle body. This forms a lightweight housing which is simple and inexpensive to produce.</p> |
