PURPOSE:To make it possible to discriminate detected signals in displaying the detected signals from various directions in a wide area, by displaying the detected signal in the disired direction with respects to time-series. CONSTITUTION:All directional tranceiver units in a tranceiver 1 are simultaneously excited by a transmitter 2, and ultrasonic pulses are transmitted in the various directions in the wide area. The incoming reflected wave from each direction is received by a directive tranceiver units T1-Tn, and sent out to a time series circuit 3. The circuit 3 is switched by an azimuth counter 4. The signal is counted by a range counter 6. The data is sent to writing circuits 7 and 9 via an A/D converter 28, and stored in memory circuits 10 and 11. The polar coordinate data of the determined azimuth and range from the circuit 3 are converted into orthogonal coordinate data. In this way, the signals in the various directions in the wire area from the circuit 10 and the gate-selected signals in the specifically desired direction from the circuit 11 are simultaneously displayed on a CRT19, and the discrimination of the object to be detected can be readily performed. |
