Class 106(5) [Also in Group XXVIII] A drainage device which replaces the normal dip tube in a valved pressurised container comprises a chamber 38 open at one end to receive part of the outlet valve projecting into the container and closed thereabout. Inversion of the container causes liquid to flow into the chamber 38 through an orifice 30 provided close to the "open" end and the liquid may then be dispensed therefrom in the inverted or upright position. As shown in Fig. 2 the chamber 38 has an integral flange 25 to seal the chamber about the valve and the valve is of the measuring type. In the modification shown in Fig. 7 the chamber 58 has a rim 28 which is received in a notch 8 in the valve shell 9 and the valve is of the continuous flow type. |
