<p>The battery powered wristwatch with hands rotated by a set of gears, and a quartz controlled drive, has a plastics supporting plate, a groove on its outside surface carrying the thin outer plate with the numbers marked on it. Part of the supporting plate is formed by a flange at right angles, near its outer edge. The back surface of this plate carries a rear plate to which the gear wheels are attached. The rear plate has a sickle shaped cut-out, and further cut-outs so that the region inside the flange is incompletely closed. One space forms a battery chamber. The supporting plate has peqs projecting from it, fitting into holes in the rear plate, and centrally at its front has a projecting circular flange with a hole for a spindle projecting through it from the rear.
