<p>The silencer has an oval casing (1) with a thermally insulating cover (6). Inside the casing there are two perforated parallel circular tubes (2,3) surrounded by sound absorbent material (5) between themselves and the inside of the casing. There is a longitudinal channel (8) between the two tubes. A header chamber at one end of the casing contains an inlet pipe into one of the tubes (2) and an outlet pipe from the other tube (3). A reverberation chamber is formed within the header chamber and communicates with the inlet pipe at its point of entry into the tube (2). The two tubes are formed together from two symmetrical profiles (7a,7b).</p> |
