PURPOSE:To improve the performance as well as to enable to miniaturize the subject motor by a method wherein, using two position-detecting elements, the output signal of each element is logically processed, three-phase exciting winding are excited successively, and a PG signal is obtained. CONSTITUTION:The position detecting revolving body 1 consisting of a ferromagnetic material rotates in a body with a rotating shaft 9, the first and the second position detecting tracks 2 and 3 are concentricaly, formed, and an N-pole and an S-pole are coded and magnetized on each track. Also, the first and the second position detecting elements 4 and 5, consisting of the magnet-sensitive element wherein a Hall effect is utilized, are provided at suitable fixing sections in such a manner that the magnetic pole, wherein the position detecting tracks 2 and 3 are coded, can be detected. Besides, the rotor 7, consisting of a cylindrical permanent magnet having the 4-pole magnetized outer circumference, is formed in such a manner that it is rotated in a body with a rotating shaft 9, and a position detecting device 10 is constituted with the positin detecting revolving body 1, the first and the second positon detecting element 4 and 5. |
