PURPOSE:to obviate demagnetization of recording signals by using the specific track of a magnetic tape as a recording and reproducing inhibit track, and locating a magnetic head in this recording and reproducing inhibit track except during recording or reproducing operation. CONSTITUTION:Whether the command signal from the control part 12 of a data processor 1 is recording command signal or not is judged. If it is the recording command signal, whether a magnetic head is in a recording and reproducing inhibit track or not is judged and if it is not in said track, a mechanism part 21 and a recording and reproducing part 24 are put in the recording state. The data from an arithmetic part 11 is recorded. If said head is in the recording and reproducing inhibit track, the command of moving the magnetic head to said track is outputted to the part 21, by which it is moved and recording is carried out. In this case, the recording of data in the reproducing inhibit track is inhibited. The positions of the head are always stored 22a, and after the end of the recording of the data, the pulses corresponding to the difference between the operated recording tracks and the reproducing inhibit track are outputted from a control part 22, and are applied to a step motor. In this way, the head is returned to the reproducing inhibit track. |
