PURPOSE:To permit the filtration of particles of a wide particle size distribution by a method in which a skin layer with through holes having smaller diameters than continuous cells is integrally formed on one side of a soft synthetic resin foam layer with continuous cells under a specific condition. CONSTITUTION:A skin layer 3 is integrally formed on one side of a soft synthetic resin foam layer 2 made of a soft polyurethane foam with continuous cells having no cell membrane to form a filter 1. This skin layer 3 formed by pressing one side of the foam layer 2 to less than 1/3 its thickness by a thermal compression molding method has smaller through holes than those of the foam layer 2 and a thickness of 3mm. or less. The said filter 1 having both surface and internal filtering mechanisms can exactly filter solid particles of a wide particle size distribution. |
