A plastic hanger, in as large a size and of a configuration that can reasonably be expected to be produced by injection molding, is not necessarily suitable for garment-shaping service in a point-of-sales display. According to method aspects of the within invention it is thus proposed that the injection molded shape be further modified in size and configuration, using an external mold or fixture, to enhance its ability to impart shape to garments displayed thereon.
