<p>The invention relates to a vehicle control system and in particular, stopping control, to determine the proper distance velocity relationship to provide a smooth stopping operation. The system includes a velocity sensor on the vehicle. Signal means determine the actual location of the vehicle and one of a plurality of stopping programs, determined by the different directions, different track rates and condition of the vehicle, may be selected as desired.</p> |
