<p>Extruded detergent bar comprises, by wt. 7-45% detergent active material (I); 0.5-60 (10-40)% builder (II) and (a) 0.5-45 (at least 1.5)% of at least one sheet alumino-silicate filler (III) and (b) 10-60% at least one non-builder, water soluble filler (IV). The total of (III) and (IV) is 10-50 (at least 20)% of the bar. Pref. (III) is bentonite and/or kaolin and comprises esp. up to 40% of the totalfiller. (IV) is pref. at least one chloride, sulphate, bicarbonate or borate. The bars are used for fabric washing and surface cleaning and retain good bar strength esp. in high temp. and humidity conditions. The proportions of (I) and (II) can be varied while maintaining satisfactory bar properties.</p> |
