PURPOSE:To facilitate checking for car-repairing by applying a checking system with a gauge incorporating a laser apparatus. CONSTITUTION:In marking the check with reference to a reference point, for example, laser beam L2 of the No.2 laser apparatus 15 slides along on the rail 5. At this position, resetting the counter of the measuring instrument 18 to zero, this laser apparatus 15 moves to the place where the laser beam passes through a reference point M4, for example, so the measuring instrument 18 shows the actual value of distance between the reference point M5 and M4 of the damaged vehicle. If this indicated value does not coincide with the estimated value between M5 and M4 displayed on the frame-chart, a repair work is conducted to make the actual value of distance coincide with the correct value between these reference points M5 and M4 by applying force properly to the damaged car. Checking for the distance in the longitudinal direction, the same procedure is taken using the No.1 laser apparatus. |
