PURPOSE:To match an original easily and accuratly to an optical scanning start position by providing an original pressing member to an original platen freely vertically movably in opposition to the optical scanning start position of an optical scanning body. CONSTITUTION:An original pressing memver 26 consists of a slender pressing plate 26a pressing the lateral margin part of an original O, and leg bodies 26d, 26d provided at both the parts thereof. It is mounted freely vertically movably to an original platen 1 by means of screws 28 passed through the long holes 27 of said bodies 26b, 26b. It is normally held applied with the upward force of an arrow C by spring force. A brake lever 29 mounted to the platen 1 by means of a long hole 30 and a screw 31 is applied with the force in a solid line B direction by spring force, and is so constituted that an elastic body 32 mounted to the lever 29 contacts with the bodies 26b, 26b by pressure. The end of a link 33 mounted freely rotatably by the shaft 34 to the platen 1 penetrates through the hole 39 on the surface of the original platen and the hole 40 on the opposite surface of the original platen of the case 3 and is so arranged as to act upon the shaft 4 or the cam 36 fixed to the case 3. |
