<p>Compsn. for cold hardening or conglutinating materials comprises a neutral aq. soln. of Mg or Ca chloride stabilised with sulphate of the same metal; and solid oxide of the same metal. Pref. the chloride and the water are pure. A pref. compsn. contains (in wt. parts) Mg or Ca chloride 600-800, water 900-1100, aq. Mg or Ca sulphate 5-15 and Mg or Ca oxide 900-1100, aq. Mg or Ca sulphate 5-15 and Mg or Ca oxide 900-1100. The sulphate soln. pref. contains 3-8g per 10cc of water. Used as binder for a wide range of natural or synthetic, organic, inorganic, vegetable, animal or mineral material for making structural panels, units, fittings etc. of a wide variety. Compsn. provides good strength and atmos. resistance at low cost.</p> |
