The bracket (1) is intended for securing an identification board to a pipeline or the like. It comprises a U-shaped part (7) whose sides (9,10) are each provided with an outward flange (5,6) for fixing the board. The sides and central portion (8) of the U-section are provided with cut-outs (16a,17a; 11a,12a) to receive fixing clamps, as in 2914939. The cut-outs (11a,12a) extend to the two free edges of the central portion to facilitate fixing of the clamp(s). The cut-outs (16a,17a) preferably extend to the respective transitions between the U-shaped part sides and the central portion.
