Tin alloy, especially for bearings

The invention relates to an alloy for lining bearings as a variation of the known white metal. The alloy consists mainly of tin, but contains from 0.001 to 0.5% by weight of chromium and from 0.005 to 0.5% by weight of cobalt. The microstructure is good, and the alloy can be bonded to a steel base and is robust and ductile.
