The window sill consisting of a Z-shaped profile (1) has a recess (5) for a pillar, which is delimited by an edge web (6) made from an extruded profile. The edge web (6) has a groove (8) provided with a seal (12) and a screw groove (7), into which fastening screws can be screwed. Arranged between the rear flange (2) of the Z-shaped profile and the end faces of the edge web (6) are mouled sealing parts (13) which engage in the screw groove (7) with an anchoring piece. The edge web (6) can be mounted in an easy manner and seals perfectly in relation to the Z-shaped profile (1). <IMAGE>
