PURPOSE:To produce the titled steel sheet by a simplified process by a method wherein a slab of a ferritic stainless steel contining solAl is hot rolled to be a strip, which is wound, is cooled with water, then it is cold rolled without being subjected to annealing, and the cold-rolled sheet is subjected to final annealing. CONSTITUTION:The slab of a ferritic stainless steel containing 0.08-0.5% of solAl is heated, for example, to 1,100 deg.C and is then hot rolled. The resultant hot- rolled strip is wound at a temperature of, for example, 750 deg.C and then it is cooled with water by immersing it into water contained in a tank or by other method. The water-cooled strip is then cold rolled without conducting the hot-rolled strip annealing operation which has been indispensable to the prior art. The sheet obtained by the cold rolling is subjected to the final annealing to produce the objective ferritic stainless steel sheet having excellent workability. |
