PURPOSE:To measure the position of a fluid surface with good accuracy by providing temp. detecting ends to the fluid detecting positions, and detecting the temp. changes of the temp. detecting ends when the liquid surface arrives at the temp. detecting ends. CONSTITUTION:Thermometers 1, 2 are provided to the upper and lower positions to detect liquid surface, and further these thermometers 1, 2 are opposed to the supply ports of nozzles 3, 4 blowing fluid of temps. t1', t2' to the leading end parts of the thermometers 1, 2 in order to maintain the thermometers at the temps. t1, t2 differing from the temp. t3 of the fluid to be detected. When the fluid of the temp. t3 contacts with the leading end of the thermometer 1, the blowing effect of the gas by the nozzle 3 is lost, and therefore the temp. difference of the thermometers 1, 2 changes from t1-t2 to t3-t2. Hence, if the t1, t2 are so set that the codes of both at the time of this change invers, the arrival of the fluid surface at the position of the thermometer 1 is known by detecting the inversion of the codes. |
