The cattle stalls are defined by partitions (1) each of which is made up of upper and lower straight tubular sections joined at one end by a semi-circular tubular section. The open ends of the U-shaped partitions are fixed to vertical brackets (20) which are fixed to the wall (39) of the shed. The brackets have an omega-shaped cross-section with the side flanges (23) lying flat against the wall. The raised central section has a series of circular openings (25-28) through which the ends of the tubular partition sections extend at the required height. Lateral apertures (24) with their axes lying normal to the axes of the sections are provided into which fixing bolts are inserted.
