Heterocyclic compounds of the formula <IMAGE> in which R<1> represents 2-thienyl, or phenyl which is substituted by a lower tertiary amino group, R<2> and R<3>, independently of each other, represent hydrogen, or lower alkyl, and R<4> represents phenyl, which can be substituted by halogen, lower alkyl, lower alkoxy, nitro, or primary, lower secondary or lower tertiary amino, where, if R<4> represents phenyl or halo-substituted phenyl, R<1> denotes phenyl which is substituted by a lower tertiary amino group, and acid addition salts thereof, are described. The products have an analgesic effect and can be used for controlling pain.
