PURPOSE:To enable to record one still picture on one track and explanation of the still picture, by combining a magnetic recording medium player for a video disc player possible for still picture reproduction and for random access. CONSTITUTION:A tape 50 consists of A, B 2-track, the tracks A, B have respectively two channels, audio signals 51-53 are recorded on an A1 channel, and signals 54, 56, 58 relating to playback track and operating signals 55, 57 for control are recorded on an A2 channel. When the track number of the video disc player is read the a head 64 from the control signal of a cassette tape, the controller 67 transmits with video disc access signal 69. Thus, the laser beam from a laser beam source 75 is radiated on bit 83 via a mirror, and the video signal obtained with the reflection light is detected and amplified and displayed on a television monitor 74C, and a relay 68 is activated at still picture mode, and the reproduced audio from a tape head 63 is outputted from a speaker 70. |
