The clasp for a satchel comprises a male part attached to the flap of the satchel which when closed locates behind a locking bridge on a second part attached to the satchel itself. A spring-biassed push-button on the male part carries at least one recess on its rear face each of which is associated with a corresponding peg projecting from the rear face of the male part. The push-button is rotatable allowing the recess and the peg to be moved out of alignment in order to lock the clasp.
