In the device, a bag (1) made of polypropylene film of 20 mu thickness is welded in and contains, for example, 10g of perfume-solvent mixture 1:1. The material of the bag (1) is impermeable to liquid and odour. The inner container in the form of the bag (1) is inserted into a larger outer container permeable to the aromatic substance, a film bag (3) made of, for example, polyethylene of the LD or HD type, of 100 mu thickness, and welded therein. The film of the inner bag (1) possesses predetermined breakage points (2) at which said film can be broken open, for example, by hand, so that aromatic substance from the perfume-solvent mixture can emerge from the bag (1) and pass to the outside through the film bag (3). By means of the device, the odour in dishwashing machines or other appliances can be improved. <IMAGE>
