The vehicle trailer for transporting crashed vehicles has a tippable platform (2) consisting of a pair of tracks whose inner edge supports form guide rails for a slide frame (11) which carries lifting gear. This can be slid down to the end of the bridge to use the lifting gear to lift the locked wheels of one the crashed vehicle above the tracks so that the vehicle can be drawn easily on to the trailer. The slide frame can be operated by hand or by motor. This provides a simple and inexpensive method of loading the vehicle onto the trailer.
