<p>The ship-unloading crane travels along the quay-side. It slews and derricks, while its portion above the ship also slews. It incorporates an elevator, connected via a boom to a rail-mounted portal. In order to deliver the material from the upper conveyor (15) in the boom (12) to one running along the quay (14), a stationary vertical tube (1) is mounted in the centre of the column (3) of the machine, and has a bend (2) at the bottom end. From the slewing ring to the platform the column is a box-section frame (4), while its portion above the platform has solid sides (5) and a latticework structure (6) in the transverse direction.</p> |
