This vehicle air conditioning plant has a heat exchanger (2) fitted in the vehicle exhaust system (1) which heats the fluid from a pressure pump (9). The fluid is passed on to a jet pump (8) and on a condenser (6) which heats the air to the passenger compartment, and is returned to the pump. By opening a decompression valve (10) the fluid is diverted to an evaporator (4) which cools the air from the passenger area drawn through by a fan(5) from the evaporator (4). The fluid returns to the jet pump and on to the condenser. This system works efficiently with great operational safety.
