In a high-voltage switch according to the main patent application with the file reference P 3103373.3, a central drive housing is mounted on a supporting insulator and three switching units are mounted in the form of a star on this housing. In one embodiment variant of the primary idea of the invention: statically compensated arrangement, dynamically balanced drive of three switching units, these switching units are now placed on parallel axes in a tank, to be precise such that not more than two supporting insulators are required for their support and insulation with respect to earth. The three switching units are driven centrally by means of a common main drive. The switching units are connected thereto via in each case one switching rod. Electrically, the three switching units are connected in series such that the connecting pieces have a minimum length, which leads to the geometric shape of a lying "S".
