Control system for an automatic transmission

For an automatic transmission a control system is explained which has a vehicle speed sensing device for generating a first signal corresponding to the vehicle speed, a vacuum sensing device for detecting the vacuum in an air intake system of the engine as a device for generating a second signal corresponding to the output torque of an engine, a control circuit device for generating a transmission ratio change control signal by comparing the first signal with the second signal and a transmission ratio change control device, actuated by the transmission ratio change control signal, for controlling the changing of the transmission ratio.
