The feed system for advancing magazines, brochures etc. in bookbinding equipment, has two horizontal conveyors (1) between which the stacks are conveyed to another conveyor (3) which carries them sloping at an angle. At the transfer point between the two conveying systems is a swinging arm (7) with a member (9) at its end, which tilts each batch at an angle as it enters the second conveyor. This arm is attached to a pivot axis (5) at the other end. Between this axis and the arm is a rotating crank arm (6) which swings the main arm about an intermediate point (9). This point is on a block (10) which can be moved along another arm (12) pivoted at its bottom end and with a spring (13) attached at the other end, to regulate the movement of the operating member (9).
