<p>Powered rollers with a wear-resistant cladding, with a large length:diameter ratio, are arranged between the gaps (s) for the medium contg. water for extraction, or its carrier in the fourdrinier section of a papermaking machine. The design eliminates the paper marking and noise caused by suction rollers. Pref. at the beginning and/or the end of the unit, in the direction of material travel, hard ceramic seals are fixed, or there are rotating seals with a wear-resistant cladding, with one seal as a roller to be turned at an angle giving min. wear. The wear-resistant roller cladding is a number of ceramic rings to allow roller bending. The rings are ground together. The mountings for the roller segments have a ceramic cladding against the material, slightly lower than their neighbouring roller segments. The supports for the fourdrinier are at least partially displaced from each other to given even wear. The cladding has a width of 8-15 mm, while the roller segments are 50-120 cm wide, pref. 70-100 cm. The roller dia. is 40-70 mm, with at least partially spherical ceramic sliding bearings as the support, with lubricating passages giving an axial feed through the rings and the bearing.</p> |
