<p>The device for driving a bar with a digital control unit in an automatic lathe causes the bar to rotate and advance in the field of the tools (31, 39) during the machining of the extremity of a part, by means of a spindle (16). This spindle is rotatably driven by a motor (25), subjected to the digital control unit and of which the pulley (26) is connected by means of a belt (27) to a pulley (22) which is axially fixed in a work rest (2) and which is keyed on the spindle (16). A stepping motor (15), also subjected to the digital control unit, is used for moving the spindle (16) axially by means of a gear (13, 12), which acts on a non-rotary threaded sleeve (8), axially integral with the spindle (16) and guided in a bore (7) of the body of a puppet (1), which is fixed to a table (5) integral with the frame (6) of the lathe.</p> |
