PURPOSE:To inspect the welded portion of a member to be welded and moving continuously with high accuracy, by discriminating the overlap amoung between an iris board and a welding seam section thereby performing the open/close control of the iris board. CONSTITUTION:An X-ray generator 11 for irradiating X-ray onto the seam portion 10b containing a basic material portion 10a is provided in a tubular member 10, while an X-ray iris mechanism 12 having an iris board is arranged between the X- ray generator 11 and the seam portion 10b. Furthermore a perspective device 13 is arranged at the outside of the tubular member 10 through a filter 14. An overlap discriminator 16 will discriminate the overlap between the iris board and the seam portion 10b from the image signal provided from the perspective device thus to provide an iris control signal to an iris mechanism drive section 17. Said section 17 will provide an iris drive signal to the X-ray iris mechanism 12. |
