PURPOSE:To simplify a machine check handler and to enable to prepare for retrying operation in a short time, by easily saving and re-storing of data for the retrying operation in case of the occurrence of an error, by providing a save memory. CONSTITUTION:Some of data read out of a memory 1, if to be saved necessarily, are saved in a data save memory 7 and while memory addresses, access directions, data lengths, etc., are saved in an address save memory 6, a counter 5 goes up every time the data is saved. If an error occurs, it is judged to be necessary to re-store the data as far as the contents of the counter 5 show a 0; when they show some value, the data are re-stored while the counter goes down to the 0. Thus, complicated control for saving and re-storage is not necessary, so a machine check handler is simplified to prepare for retrying operation in a short time. |
